Does Face Tape Reduce the Appearance of Wrinkles? We Put These Brands to the Test
Which face tape came out on top? And what were the results? Find out here!

I’m on a quest to figure out ways to hide and minimize my wrinkles at home. But after trying different types of makeup, moisturizers, and anti-aging creams, I haven’t found a solution that works as well as I hoped. After researching online, I found a handful of influencers and strangers on beauty forums recommending face tape to battle wrinkles.
People claim that by applying the tape to specific areas of the face, where your wrinkles are the most prominent, it can help restrict muscle movement in those areas and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Since it’s not practical to wear this tape during the day, a lot of people recommend wearing it overnight.

in an effort to try almost anything to reduce my wrinkles. I tested out three of the most popular face tape brands and here’s what I liked and didn’t like about each one.
TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape
I noticed that a lot of face tape brands can be quite pricey, so I decided to try an option that was cost-effective and affordable. TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape costs under $7 for two rolls, which depending on how often you use it, could last a few weeks.
What I Liked About TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape
The tape felt very thick and was surprisingly easy to apply to my skin. The tape came with a helpful brochure that outlined where to apply it based on what wrinkles you want to target. I kept the tape on for a few hours and when I took it off, I noticed that it didn’t irritate my skin. There wasn’t any redness at all. I noticed that my forehead did look a little smoother. I also noticed that the wrinkles on my forehead seemed a little smoother after using the tape three times in a week.

What I Didn’t Like About TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape
I didn’t realize that I’d need scissors to cut the tape into strips. It was the only way to rip the tape from the roll. I also noticed that the tape didn’t stick as well as I hoped it would. I kept having to apply it or fix it every three-minutes or so. It was easy to stick on the first time but with any slight movement, the tape slowly came off my face.
KODASNY’s Invisible Face Tape
Next, I tried the KODASNY Face Tape. A lot of people suggest wearing face tape while you sleep at night so that nobody can see the tape on your face. But I found that it made going to sleep harder with it on. I tried out an invisible tape option so that I could wear the tape during the day and have it be less noticeable.
What I Liked About KODASNY’s Invisible Face Tape
Unlike any of the other tapes I tried, this one was comfortable to wear and keep on my skin for hours. It felt lightweight, yet durable, almost like a thin sticker that I stretched over my wrinkles. It was gentle and didn’t triage my skin. I mostly loved that it was invisible. I could wear this face tape out for errands without it being too noticeable.

What I Didn’t Like About KODASNY’s Invisible Face Tape
I found the application of the tape to be tricky. It was hard to first unpeel and then it was tough to place it on my face without the tape curling or folding in half because it was so lightweight. After using the tape for a week, It became easier to use. I also didn’t notice as prominent of results with this tape as I did the others. My skin felt smoother after each use but I didn’t see any noticeable changes with my wrinkles.
Frownies Forehead Serum Patch
After trying out two different face tapes, I wanted to test out something that was a little different. I tried out the Frownies Forehead Patch instead, hoping it would be easier to apply.
What I Liked About Frownies Forehead Serum Patch
I loved how easy it was to apply the patch to my face. I didn’t have to cut any tape to have it fit my forehead or put on multiple different strips to make sure every wrinkle was covered. I unpeeled the path and laid it across my forehead. I left this patch on for a few hours and it hydrated my skin. My forehead did look better after using this a few times throughout the week.

What I Didn’t Like About Frownies Forehead Serum Patch
The patch went on fast but didn’t stick on for very long. I tried to wear this patch while doing work and cleaning up the house but it didn’t stick very well. It kept sliding off. While I was able to reuse the patch a few times, I found this $9 product not cost effective compared to the tape.
The Bottom Line: TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape Gave the Best Results
After experimenting with three different face tape brands, I found that TEAWOO’s Anti-Wrinkle Tape worked the best. It helped lightly smooth out my forehead wrinkles after using the tape every day for a week. The price point made it affordable too. While it didn’t stick on as well as I hoped it would, I used it when I knew I would be spending a few hours sitting down on the couch and staying still. This is a product I’ll use a few times a week to help me hopefully say goodbye to my forehead wrinkles.
