It’s hard to stay home as a tween or teenager, but you may as well make the most of it. There are many cool, virtual things to do, so grab your computer and explore the arts and the world!

Take a Virtual Tour of the Louvre in Paris

A trip to Paris may not be in the cards anytime soon, but a virtual tour is available at your fingertips. Explore the Egyptian antiquities, the remains of the Louvre’s moat or the beautiful paintings and sculptures in the Apollo Gallery. Tours are free and available on demand.

Attend Ivy League Courses

Want to see what it’s like to take a class at an Ivy League university? Now you can. Many ivy league schools are offering free courses across a variety of subjects, from an introduction to classical music to Shakespeare to launching a start-up.

Work It Out

Get fit virtually. There are many places offering virtual classes right now and most have free trials for up to 90 days. You don’t need a spin bike to take advantage of the Peloton app, which has yoga, bootcamp, strength and even outdoor classes. Likewise, the Les Mills app has a 14-day trial that includes a ton of different dance and strength classes. Otherwise, many local fitness studios are having their instructors jump on to Instagram and Facebook live to teach classes as well.

Virtually Attend Events at the 92nd Street Y

The 92nd Street Y in NYC is known for innovative programming that they’ve taken virtually. Watch past recordings or attend live virtual events. Events like piano concerts, live celebrity interviews, comedy conversations and dance performances are available.

Catch a Broadway Show

You may not be able to see a show in person right now, but you can stream a ton of live Broadway performances from the comfort of your own couch. Broadway HD is offering a 7-day free trial to check out all of their shows and, if you like what you see, you can continue for $8.99 a month.

Explore the Most Wonderous Places and Exhibits in the World

Google offers more than just website browsing. Their arts and culture page is full of places across the country that you can explore. Dive into San Pauelo’s museum of art or the Tower Bridge in London. Walk onto Sydney’s cricket grounds, or zoom in closely on famous works of art. All for free!

Attend Acting Workshops

Want to be an actor or actress? Now you can attend live workshops through Atlanta’s Catapult Acting, who are taking their classes to the web. You can attend a commercial workshop or get some private one-on-one coaching. Prices vary.

Take Guitar Lessons

Always wanted to strum out your favorite guitar song? Now’s your chance. Justin Guitar offers free lessons for beginners through advanced. It’s interactive and really fun.

Learn a New Language

No time like the present to learn a new language or brush up on one you were already learning at school. Duolingo is free and makes learning languages feel like a game. Before you know it, you’ll be speaking with fluency. Some schools have free access to Mango (so check with your advisors) but, if not, you can get the programs for less than $10 a month. With over 70 languages available, you can learn everything from French to Mandarin and adapt to the learning style that works best for you.
