This Library Hosted A Stuffed Animal Sleepover and It’s The Cutest Thing Ever
The Beatles once said, or sang rather, "I get by with a little help from our friends" and when we were young this meant our favorite stuffed animal. This is why Somerville Public library hosted slumber parties at 3 of their branches for local children to bring their beloved stuffed animal for the night so they could hang out with other stuffed animals.

"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend the night at the library? Guess what -- your stuffed animal can find out!" the library wrote. "Bring your stuffed animal to the Children's Room in the afternoon, and watch Facebook throughout the evening to see what your pal is up to. (Sorry, only stuffed animals sleep over -- kids have to go home!)" Honestly, this is just too adorable.
So perhaps you're thinking, "yeah it's cute, but why?" Many libraries all over the world have hosted such events as a way to get children excited about reading, and it works. Okayama University in Japan looked at 42 preschool children and found a number the number of kids who read picture books to stuffed animals increased, as reported by Metro.
The importance of cultivating a love for reading starts at an early age as it opens up our world and imagination to far off lands, intriguing new discoveries and helps us better understand the world around us.
