Kids Fighting Diseases and Disabilities Are Turned Into Superheroes for an Amazing Photoshoot
Most kids wish they had super powers and could become their favorite superhero. Last year photographer Josh Rossi first went viral for creating an elaborate photoshoot for his three year old daughter Nelle where she was transformed into Wonder Woman. After the response to the photos, Rossi knew he wanted to help other kids find their inner strength and show their real powers. So for his latest pictures, Rossi has transformed six kids, who are all living with disabilities, into phenomenal super heroes and the pictures are fantastic. “The idea was to showcase their inner strength in a way that would bring a smile to their faces as well as others struggling with similar issues,” Rossi wrote in on his blog explaining the project. So who are these superheroes? Let’s meet them.
Like 3 year-old Sofie Loftus who has a rare form of eye cancer called embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma but has been transformed into the fierce and fabulous Wonder Woman. “Sofie is a real fighter and fits perfectly as Wonder Woman!” Photographer Josh Rossi writes.
Here’s five-year-old, Simon Fullmer who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nerves. Now he’s looking fierce as the caped crusader Batman. Josh Rossi Photography
Meet 9 year-old Teagan Pettit, who was born with only half a heart, a condition known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. For a little boy that has had three open heart surgeries and waited for over a year for a heart transplant, he is now the Man of Steel and poses as Superman. Josh Rossi Photography
Seven year old Zaiden Stolrow may suffer from severe ADHD, but he is using all that energy to become The Flash. Josh Rossi Photography

Five year old Kayden Kinckle was born with omphalocele, which caused his internal organs to grow outside his naval and has been a double amputee since he was one. Now he has been transformed in Cyborg. Josh Rossi Photography
