Because who doesn't love pizza, especially on National Pizza Day -- and who better to make it than Buddy Valastro!
Pizza Dough (Recipe makes dough for 3 pizzas)
- 3 & 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 3 quarters of a teaspoon of dry active yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 & 1/3 cup of warm water (Warm water will activate the yeast.)
1. Mix & turn up the speed (Want all the flour to be mixed in & become a dough ball)
2. Add bench flour to a baking board & flour to the dough ball
3. Knead the dough & fold back into itself
4. Add olive oil & dough to a mixing bowl (Olive oil gives the dough more flavor)
5. Cover the bowl with a towel - Let rise for about 1 hour
6. Flour a sheet pan
7. Cut the dough into 3 parts for the 3 pizzas
8. Knead the dough ball, flatten it out & then shape with your hand - make it all come together & add to the sheet pan
9. Cover the sheet pan with a towel - let rise again for about one more hour
