Tori Roloff Opens Up About Struggling with Her Postpartum Body
A message to moms everywhere.
In an transparent Instagram post on Tuesday, Tori Roloff revealed that while her family is one of her greatest achievements, she struggles with the changes giving birth has caused her body.
The “Little People, Big World” mom recently welcomed her second child, Lilah, who arrived measuring 8.9lbs and 18.5 inches long.
“I’m trying really hard to love my postpartum body,” Tori wrote on Instagram. “It’s only been three weeks since growing and then birthing a human being, but it’s hard. Having major abdominal surgery is difficult for me because I hate being restricted. I hate asking for help. I hate not being able to physically keep up with where my mental state is. Plus, there are jiggles in places that are honestly just hard to come to terms with,” Tori continued. “I know my body will heal and I will be back where I want to be. It’s just the waiting that’s hard.”
While she continues down a path toward loving her new body and adjustment to new limits, Tori has a message for all moms who are going through similar journeys.
“For those PP mamas out there. Love yourself hard,” Tori said. “We all have our days and that’s okay. Our bodies are so insane, and I’ve said it before–women are bad ass.”
Fans and followers rejoiced in her comments, offering many words of support, solidarity and appreciation of Tori’s honesty and strength.
“I hear you!” one user wrote. “I wasn’t one of those lucky women who bounced back after having a c-section… When I look at my rolls and jiggles, I have to remember that I am healthy, and I have lived another day to love my precious son. Tori, you look great! Just enjoy those babies!”
