The last month of the year welcomes some very special and very cute babies. Afterall, they share their birth month with the wonder that is the holiday season, and is there anything sweeter than seeing a baby all bundled up in a tiny snowsuit or wrapped up and snuggly in warm blankets? December babies may be the last of the year, but they certainly aren’t the least. In fact, they are pretty spectacular.

They're Quite Chill
December babies have fewer temper tantrums. According to one study, those winter months have chilly temperatures and chill kids who are significantly less prone to irritable temperament than those born at other times of the year.
Hopeful at Heart
They have two birth flowers: holly and the paperwhite narcissus. While each flower is very different, they both symbolize hope.
Blessed with Birthdays
A study published in the Journal of Aging reports that December babies are more likely to live to be 105 years old or older. Now that is something to celebrate!
They've Got the Winter Blues
Feeling blue in December may be because their birthstones are all blue. December babies have three gorgeous stones to celebrate their birth month: tanzanite, zircon, and turquoise.
Up and At 'Em
December babies are early birds. A study revealed that people born in December tend to go to bed earlier at night and wake up earlier in the morning than people born in different months. So, while you are snuggly in your bed, December babies are already starting their day.
Likely Lefties
If your boy was born in December, he’s more likely to be left handed, according to one study. However, girls born in December were not more prone to be lefties.

While expecting parents may not want their December baby to have to share a birthday with Christmas, turns out that being born on December 24th or 25th is actually pretty special. Those are the two rarest birthdays of the entire year!
Special Zodiac Signs
December babies are either a Sagittarius or a Capricorn. If your baby is born through December 21, they are a Sagittarius and known to be funny, generous, and they love to travel. If your baby is born on or after December 22, they are a Capricorn. This sign is known to be responsible, ambitious, and sensitive.
They're Athletes by Birth
Babies born in December are more likely to be athletic. According to a study in the International Journal of Sports Medicine, the boost in athleticism could be from all the extra Vitamin D the baby gets from their mom during the summer months.
More Allergies
However, during those winter months, December babies are getting a lot less Vitamin D and one study says that may be why they are more prone to food allergies than kids born during the summer.
