Theresa and Larry Caputo Divorce after 28 Years of Marriage
The Long Island Medium stars are beginning a new chapter in their lives.
One year after they announced their separation, Long Island Medium couple Larry and Theresa Caputo are officially divorced.
“Larry and I have finalized our divorce,” Theresa told PEOPLE. “We shared 28 wonderful years together and have two beautiful children, Larry Jr. and Victoria. We will continue to support each other and remain friends.”
Back in December of 2017, the two confirmed that they were separating with the following statement: "After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate. We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time."
Following this legal separation, Larry and Theresa decided to bring their marriage to an end. That same month, a new season of Long Island Medium premiered on TLC, and Larry and Theresa provided a candid look at their lives during those emotional months. In the clip above, the two discuss their trial separation, with Theresa explaining "to have someone in your life for over 30 years, and then to not have that person - that's my struggle." Larry continues, "we have to look into our own souls and figure out what will make us happy."
In June, Larry spoke with TMZ and gave an update on their lives as the divorce proceedings continue, saying, "I know she's doing well, I'm happy."
