See the Surprise Bedroom Makeover Jana Duggar and Siblings Pulled Off for Their Parents!

While Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were away for a week, their kids rallied together and raised the bar for children everywhere by redesigning their parents’ bedroom! Jana Duggar took to Instagram and posted before-and-after shots of the rustic and dark room that now boasts calming shades of gray, white and hints of yellow.

“This is what we’ve been working on the past week and a half – we surprised my parents while they were away and redid their room!” Jana captioned the photos. “So grateful to all the family and friends who pitched in to make this happen!”

Achieving the contemporary look required all hands on deck. The Duggar brothers showed off their home improvement skills by tearing down the old cabinet set and building out a brand new one with a corresponding bench seat against the window in their parents’ room.

“My brothers are the BEST!” Jana wrote. “They built the cabinets from scratch and worked so diligently on everything else! Anna is amazing, she made the window seat cushion! Couldn’t have done this project without each and every person!”

Everyone played a role – even the youngest family members collected scraps to be thrown away while the materials were unpackaged.

The surprise was pulled off without a hitch, and Jana’s insta followers couldn’t help but swoon over both the results and kind-hearted gesture.
