Where to Buy Your Wedding Cake
Besides the bride’s gown, cakes are often regarded as a center point of wedding day traditions. Some couples want an elaborate showpiece with several tiers, while others prefer a sleek and simpler look. Either way, they need a baker or bakery that can handle their demand and help bring their vision to life — and of course, it has to taste delicious. These businesses represent some of the best wedding cake creators from coast to coast.
Alabama – Magnificent Cakes
Irondale
Hilde McGhee has been making cakes in all shapes and sizes for over 30 years. She customizes her creations according to what the couple is looking for, including fancy fondants or a simple buttercream. These days she sees requests trending more towards buttercream, but most brides pick different flavors for each of their tiers with Red Velvet being the most popular — it is the south after all.
Alaska – Alaska Cake Studio
