Transform Your Day-To-Day
Do you want to change up your everyday look, but don’t know where to start? You can get a little help from a professional stylist to find new styles and outfits that fit your body — and budget. And, styling services don't end with a fashionable wardrobe, add makeup and hair to the mix for a total transformation! Here are some great options for personal services that will freshen up your entire look.
Stitch Fix
Stitch Fix has plenty of options for everyone. They have clothing categories for kids, women, plus, petite, maternity, men, and big & tall. The first step is creating a profile using their Style Quiz so they can get an idea about who they’re shopping for, what brands and styles you like, and what your budget is. Then a stylist will send pieces, and from there, you can shop online, get outfit suggestions, and send feedback on the pieces you received so that each haul is suited for you.
Wantable
Wantable not only has women’s clothes available, but they also have active wear, men’s active and loungewear, and a sleep & body category. To start, create a profile and complete the style quiz to be paired with a stylist. There is a $20 styling fee that will be credited towards items you keep. Then, check out Wantable’s clothing stream to see all the pieces available. You can request pieces and send your stylist notes on what you like, what you want to see, and what you want to try. Your stylist will send you 7 items to try and buy, then you return the rest!
ThreadBeast
ThreadBeast is a men’s subscription service that delivers trendy streetwear styles once a month. Create your profile by completing a questionnaire that asks about your style, measurements, and budget. You can even add your social handles for them to get a better idea of where your fashion sense lies! From there, a style assistant will handpick items for you, based on your tastes, and send you a personalized box.
Stylogic
Stylogic is a plus size women’s service for sizes 12 through 36. They deliver boxes that can include clothes, accessories, and shoes. When you sign on, you get paired with a stylist who will help you find 5 pieces to send that match your fashion sense and budget. The styling fee is $20, which is credited towards what you keep from your shipment. As a bonus, if it turns out that you like all 5 pieces, you get a 20% discount! You can sign up for a subscription or shop at your convenience.
Macy’s
At Macy’s you can book an appointment with a wardrobe consultant either online or in store. Once paired, the two of you will discuss what you’re in the market for, and the stylist will recommend pieces for you and outfit inspiration. In addition to clothes for women, men, and kids, Macy’s offers style consulting for luxury brands, jewelry, accessories, home decor, and gifts.
Dia & Co
Dia & Co is a plus size style service for women’s sizes 10 through 32 that offers the help of a personal stylist, as well as curated boxes such as Best Dressed Guest, Business Ready, and Trend Edit. Complete their style profile and a wardrobe stylist will handpick 5 pieces tailored to your style, budget, and body’s shape. Once you start to understand your fashion sense, you can shop independently on their online store to find more pieces you like.
Gwynnie Bee
Gwynnie Bee is a membership-based service where you can find different collections of clothes and select which pieces you want sent to your door. Once you have your pieces, you can purchase what you like and send back what you don’t want to keep. Even though this service doesn’t offer personal styling assistance, Gwynnie Bee has plenty of resources like a Size Advisor tool, size charts, a shape report to help you figure out how to compliment your figure, and hacks to help you style pieces and troubleshoot if you really like an item, but the fit is a smidge off.
Tailoring and Alterations: Nordstrom
What do you do when you find the perfect piece, but it doesn’t fit quite right? If you tried every tailoring hack — from safety pins and elastic ties to "just covering it with a sweater" — then it might be time to take your piece to a professional. Not only will Nordstrom get the fit right, but they will also add hems, pockets, and other details to personalize the garment. Plus, they offer other services like bra fittings, wardrobe styling, and makeovers.
Bra Fittings: Bravissimo
The perfect bra does exist! If you want comfort and coverage in a few different styles, consider a professional bra fitting to make sure you know the right cup size and band for you. Bravissimo offers in-store fittings as well as a virtual service and an online Bra Fit Finder, so you can choose an experience that is comfortable for you.
Makeup Guidance: Sephora
Your look doesn’t stop at being well-dressed! Many makeup stores, like Sephora and MAC Cosmetics have services to help you find the beauty routine that works for you, learn the ins and outs of different products, and get assistance applying products. At Sephora, you can also book an artist for facial waxes, hydrafacial treatments, and makeovers.
Hair Stylists: Ulta Beauty
Last, but not least, shake things up with professional haircare. The salons at Ulta Beauty provide a full range of services including cuts, color, styling, extensions, and hair treatments. You can try different hairstyles and step into a new you!
