Whether they're on the playground, between classes, or on a trip, your kids need the right kind of snacks to keep them going. Here are a few of my tried and true favorites. I know you'll love them just as much as my kids and I do!

Happy Wolf

There’s a reason these boxes need to be refrigerated: They’re made with whole food ingredients and date-sweetened. Luckily, they still last 3 days on-the-go, making them the perfect option to tuck into a backpack the night before school. Flavors include Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, Apple Cinnamon, and Choco-Banana, but my girls definitely loved Chocolate Chip the most. They are also nut-free, thanks to an ingredient list that includes seed butter, gluten-free oats, dates, honey, chocolate chips (cacao, dates, & cacao butter), pumpkin seed butter, cacao butter, banana puree, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

 GoGo squeeZ Pumpkin Spice

Unfortunately, I won’t allow my girls to have a classic PSL (too much sugar!), so this is the perfect snack to satisfy that autumn trend. One box contains a mix of Apple Apple and Apple Pumpkin Spice, so kids can make their own choice. They’re made from 100% fruit and veggies with no sugar added and a clean ingredient list that includes apples, apple puree concentrate, pumpkin puree, lemon juice concentrate, and cinnamon.

Cookie Granola

As longtime fans of Purely Elizabeth granola (it was founded back in 2009!) on our Greek yogurt, we were thrilled to taste their Cookie Granola. The oats in the bag are clustered, so they’re easy for little hands to snack on. Ingredients in our favorite flavor, Chocolate Chip, include organic certified gluten-free oats, organic coconut sugar, organic coconut oil, organic certified gluten-free oat flour, chocolate chunks, almond butter, maple syrup, and chia seeds.

Cluster Bucks

Sprouted buckwheat, who knew? Apparently, founder of Lil Bucks Emily did, after trying them in Australia. Buckwheat is a gluten-free, grain-free fruit seed (yes, a seed) that is chock full of plant-based protein, fiber, antioxidants, and magnesium. Bucks 'n Honey was their first flavor to use honey instead of maple syrup to bind buckwheat with other superfoods. It’s a crunchy, sweet and salty alternative to granola (especially if your classroom is nut-free). Clean ingredients include sprouted buckwheat seeds, honey, pumpkin seeds, coconut shreds, coconut sugar, coconut oil, vanilla, sea salt, and vitamin D3.

Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar Minis in Blueberry and Raspberry

Forget the backpack, pop this mini bar in your kiddo’s pocket. It’s the new mini version of the classic Nature’s Bakery bars that are always plant-based, nut-free, dairy-free, and soft baked. While they do feature cane sugar, there is never any high-fructose corn syrup, plus they are also non-GMO and gluten free.
