Now, she's embracing all of the positive life changes coming her way and even planning to walk down the aisle with her partner, Ray! You won't believe how far she's come.
Lashanta
Lashanta opened up about her unhealthy relationships with food, partners, and the cycle she so badly wanted to break. To make matters worse, her case of lymphedema made it diffiuclt to walk and left her bedbound. So, she turned to Dr. Now and created a plan for herself, but her path to weight loss surgery was anything but a straight line. She experienced many ups and downs, but in the end, Dr. Now approved her for surgery. However, she would need to do some more work and get herself walking again first. Stay tuned to see the next chapter of Lashanta's story.
Robin
Robin had a family history of obesity and losing her sister to congestive heart failure was a huge wake up call. Still grieving, Robin traveled to see Dr. Now and pushed herself to meet her new goals. Although she experienced unbearable knee pain throughout her journey, she wasn't going to let anything stop her. In fact, her best source of motivation was her 20-year-old nephew, Garrett.
Garrett
Together, Robin and Garrett held each other accountable and assisted one another throughout their weight loss journey. Their bond grew super close as they created food journals, ate all of their meals together, and supported each other. They fought hard to reach their goals and ultimately, they were both approved for weight loss surgery! But did they both maintain their new, healthy habits since their procedures?
Vianey
Vianey and her husband, Allen, both suffered from food addiction, which only worsened their codependent relationship. At a young age, Vianey started using food as a coping mechanism to deal with her traumas. She became bedbound and relied on Allen for everything, putting an even bigger strain on their marriage.
Allen
However, Allen was barely mobile himself, dealing with lymphedema and cellulitis. They both met Dr. Now and received a weight loss program to follow. It was time to turn their codependence into a new kind of relationship — one where they supported each other's weight loss goals. Together, they worked through temptation, moments of demotivation, and began healing from their pasts. Allen had his surgery and Vianey still had a bit more progress to make before Dr. now could schedule hers, but nobody could've predicted what was about to happen next.
Octavia
Octavia's story was both heartbreaking and unforgettable. After dealing with years of sexual abuse, she turned to food and often shared large meals with her loved ones in order to cope. She and her close friend, Nichelle, became "eating buddies" due to their shared love of food, which only made Octavia's situation harder. Bedbound Octavia had her sister, a niece, and two nephews to live for and she was determined to turn her life around. So, she gave it her all and received weight loss surgery. Tune in to see how she's doing now!
Aaron
Compulsive eating and bullying became a dangerous cycle for Aaron. Soon, the torment at school became too much for him and he dropped out. Aaron became a certified caregiver for his parents and eventually stopped leaving the house, which caused him to gain even more weight. After creating a plan with Dr. Now, Aaron and his father made healthier choices together. His dad's involvement was exactly the kind of support he needed. In the end, he underwent weight loss surgery and pushed himself to keep going. We can't wait to see what's next for him.

Lacey decided she couldn't live this way any longer and met with Dr. Now. After diving deep into her family's dynamics and working on herself, both physically and mentally, Lacey underwent her life-changing surgery. But has she kept up the great work months later?

The mother of two was suffering from severel ymphedema and cellulitis and only left the house for medical emergencies. So, she asked Dr. Now for help.
