Honeymooning Without a Crowd

Weddings are typically very social events. All of that socialization can be taxing on even the most extroverted person, but for introverts it can be totally exhausting. Luckily, after the ceremony is over, you have the honeymoon to look forward to—and there are plenty of remote, calm places that are perfect for couples who just want to be alone together. We’ve pulled together some amazing locations, both domestic and abroad, that will make your introverted hearts sing.

Inn at Perry Cabin

St. Michaels, MD

There are many gorgeous places along Chesapeake Bay, but the small New England town of St. Michaels, Maryland may take the (wedding) cake. San Diego has the most gorgeous beaches, delicious restaurants and resorts. I recommend staying at Rancho Valencia, which offers suites, villas and haciendas that are absolutely stunning and secluded. The resort offers tennis courts, a stunning yoga studio, two beautiful pools and on-site restaurants that are absolutely delicious. They’ll even leave fresh-squeezed orange juice on your doorstep. It’s also a short drive to lots of different beaches.

Game Creek Chalet

Vail, CO

If you and your partner love skiing, look no further than Vail, Colorado. In addition to being perhaps the most gorgeous, quaint ski town, it offers accommodations that are romantically secluded. Stay at Game Creek Chalet for a scenic experience. Located 10,500 feet above Vail Village, the chalet has unmatched views. You can literally walk right out of your door and ski down the mountain, thereby completely skipping the ski lift. One of the coolest restaurants in Vail, Game Creek Club, is right next door, or you can ski into The 10th, which offers little slippers for you when you change out of your ski boots.
