If you are ready to fill your home with festive music, countless twinkle lights, and holiday movies on an endless loop—may we suggest adding these tiny newborns dressed as characters from the Nutcracker to add to your holiday spirt?
Photographer Karen Marie of Belly Beautiful Portraits, who specializes in maternity and newborn photography, is the creator of the stunning Nutcracker photo shoot. Her creative settings and posing of sleeping infants have made many of her photos viral sensations. But it is her latest work that has the internet giddy with holiday glee as she styled little ones as characters from the newest rendition of the beloved ballet, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms movie.

“The shoot was fun! The babies are adorable!” Marie told Southern Living. “Whether it is only one baby or an eight-baby themed shoot, there is no way of really knowing what to expect so my team and I just try to keep everyone patient and see what we can get.”
From a baby Nutcracker to a Sugar Plum Fairy, Maire beautifully captured the spirit of the Nutcracker in elaborate costumes that were created by Valerie Best of Sew Trendy. According to Marie, the holiday classic ballet and now hit movie, was the perfect inspiration for the holiday photo shoot.

“I saw the ballet when I was just a girl and it was the first time I had ever seen such a production. It was magical," Marie said. "I still remember think about how much thought went into every little perfection of that huge performance."

Marie said this particular shoot has taken on special meaning for her. She tells ABC News, "One of my favorite quotes from the new movie was 'Your mother was the cleverest inventor I ever knew, and there was never any doubt when I asked what her greatest creation was: You.' I know I believe that of my children and I hope my mom can see me and feels that way."
