This Dad and Daughter Duet Parody Will Have You Buying All the Girl Scout Cookies
Now that's some cookie selling music.
As if we needed another reason to indulge in Girl Scout cookies, let me introduce you to the musical genius of a dad and daughter who are killing it at the cookie selling game.
The now viral video features scout leader Seymore Harrison Jr. and his 6-year-old daughter Charity Joy in their car playing the Childish Gambino's "Redbone." However, the duo created their own lyrics to entice you to buy every delicious box of cookies from Charity Joy. Her lyrics are pretty genius and her sweet voice is perfection. She starts the song by singing "Thin Mints, you wanna order some before it's too late. We also got Trefoils, and they taste great. Tagalongs will make you feel fine." Seriously, how cute is she? Just take my money and give me all the cookies!
The video, which was shot in one take outside their home in Duluth, Georgia, already has over 4.4 million views. The proud Pappa told ABC News, "She did this, I just wanted to be supportive. It was just a song that we both like and she decided to put cookies in the song. We are so surprised. We had no idea it would go that far."
According to Charity's cookie page, she's already hit her goal of selling 5,000 boxes of cookies. So now can someone give these two a Grammy and also give me a box of Thin Mints.
