‘Moments Like This Are Priceless’--A Little Boy’s New Friendship is Giving Us All the Feels
“I don’t know who this lady is, but if you know her tell her she’s awesome,” –this is how Star Balloon-Bradley captioned a photo of her four-year-old nephew being rocked to sleep by another mother. Now this picture and the story of their friendship has gone viral and has all of us getting a little teary eyed.
In her Facebook post, Balloon-Bradley explains she attended a high school football game with her nephew Isaiah, but it was another mother at the game that caught the four-year-old’s attention. According to his aunt, the two quickly became friends, chatted for a bit, and eventually Isaiah crawled into the woman’s lap to watch a few plays of the game. The woman left at half-time, and Balloon-Bradley just thought that was the end of the sweet interaction between the new friends.
However, at the next football game, Isaiah spotted his buddy and quickly went over to sit with her, and this is when his aunt captured a very sweet moment between Isaiah and his new friend.
“Isaiah walked right up to her smiling, crawled in her lap and laid his head down on her shoulder. She welcomed him with open arms,” she wrote. “This lady patted and rocked Isaiah to sleep like he had given birth to him. It was the sweetest!! We asked her if she wanted us to get him but she kept telling us she (and he) was fine!!”
According to Balloon-Bradley, she worried her nephew was inconveniencing the woman, whom Balloon-Bradley identifies as Mrs. Angela, but she had the most amazing response. “She replied he’s no bother and to not say that again. She said he was her new friend. She then went on to say she only has one child who is 15 and moments like this are priceless!!!”
The post has already been shared 350 thousand times and has received numerous comments of support and awe of this sweet friendship. In response to the popularity of the post, Balloon-Bradley says she knows why so many people are loving this friendship, “With all of the racial tension that’s going on I’m glad to see the pictures like these because it goes to show color don’t matter to a lot of people. It really don’t!! Arguing over stuff as such makes us miss the simple pleasures in life.”
