Why was it important to you and your family to share the journey of your transition?
First and foremost, I wanted to be seen. I did not want to hide in plain sight any longer. That's what it is like to be transgender and not have the courage to be who you are. My family and the public's angry perception has been well known and outspoken for as long as I can remember. I was tired of being silent when everyone else was so outspoken.

What is the biggest lesson you've learned since starting your transition?
That a relationship can grow stronger. It was imperative to work on my mental and emotional well-being before any physical transition. Whether I revealed that I was trans or not, the negative reactions and opinions from others were very detrimental.

Describe a moment when you first started to feel like your true self.

I had finally reached my peak of size and strength after working out for many years. I was flexing in the mirror admiring my accomplishment and my heart sunk, and I realized I never really wanted my masculinity. I just didn't realize it until I accomplished it fully. I had lost my femininity, I was completely fearful that I could not get it back. At my age, this was my last chance.

What advice would you give to others starting their transitions?
Be realistically insightful. Design a transition that is right for you, that involves mental balance, emotional well-being and biological structuring that is healthy and realistic. It's about being the BEST version of you. Fashion is your friend, it changes like the wind, you can dress for any occasion or emotion!
