With back-to-school season upon us, it's time to find a lunchbox that your kids love. But it also needs to be a lunchbox that is durable, easy for kids to open and close and has some great features and accessories.
To help with this quest, I put my five-year-old son in charge of testing out a few products from b.box: the snack box, the silicone sandwich pocket, and the lunchbox. Since he's a lunchbox expert (after all, he takes his lunch to school every day), he was able to give all of these items a test run.
Could these adorable and functional containers really make lunch easier to pack and are they truly better for the environment? Keep reading to find out!

First Impressions
The first thing that struck me about the b.box products was how cute and vibrant they are. I loved the bright colors and so did my son. Though he asked if they had a dinosaur version (they don't), he was excited to try everything.
I started packing lunch for him and found that the snack box is compact yet spacious, perfect for little hands to open and close. The silicone sandwich pocket felt incredibly soft and flexible — I could fit a whole sandwich and still have plenty of room left. The lunchbox, with its multiple compartments, had a spot for every morsel of food he picked out for his lunch that day.

We took the items on a trial run; He was a fan and so was I. Plus, I love that we don't have to use single use plastic bags for his lunch and snacks. Instead, we've got these versatile items.
b.box Snack Box
How genius is this snack box? It has two leakproof compartments and with the silicone seal, you can fit a whole apple inside. Forget brown apple slices at snack time — this is the perfect way to pack a snack for your kids to take to school or my personal favorite: in the car when we're running to after school activities.
b.box Silicone Sandwich Pocket
Since we are looking to avoid single-use plastic in our house, this silicone pocket is perfectly sized for sandwiches, bagels, snacks and wraps. Plus, I love that my son can use this pocket to hold his sandwich if we are on the go and he needs to eat in the car.
b.box Lunchbox
Here's a bento-style lunchbox designed with kids in mind. It's got big compartments that can hold a lot of food — perfect for your hungry kiddo. One spot has a fold down lid so you can put an ice pack underneath — great for keeping their sandwich fresh for lunch.
I love the silicone lid that lets me pack whole pieces of fruit like an apple or a peeled orange. Best of all, it's easy for kids to open and close — that's big for little ones.
Pros
- Great features: The silicone stretch lid is genius and I love the removable compartments so you can always fit their favorite foods in their lunch.
- Easy to clean: Simply toss in the dishwasher or give it a quick rinse.
- Eco-friendly: Ditch single-use plastic and use these items instead.
- Leak-proof: During our testing, we had zero leaks. Pretty impressive.

Cons
- Basic Design: My preschooler still loves a themed lunch box — no dinosaurs or unicorns here.
Bottom Line
Overall, the b.box items we tested have become a fantastic addition to our lunchtime routine. They're fun, functional and have made packing lunch a breeze. My preschooler loves the independence they offer him and I love that they're easy to clean and durable.
If you're looking for a more eco-friendly and practical lunch solution for your little one, the b.box range is definitely worth considering.
