We first met Brandon and Julia on 90 Day Fiance Season 8. They met through Brandon's best friend and video chatted for the first time while Julia was working in a club in Russia. After a few weeks, Brandon flew to Julia to meet in person and eventually proposed to her in Iceland. Although Brandon's parents had previously signed him up for a farmers' dating app, these two found love all on their own.
Brandon couldn't wait for Julia to arrive in America on her K-1 Visa. They were ready to start a life together.
Brandon greeted Julia with a bouquet of flowers after she landed.
The couple went sightseeing in Washington, D.C. with Brandon's parents, Betty and Ron. Julia was thrilled to explore the American capital city, but less than thrilled that her future in-laws came along for the trip.
Soon, they headed back to Brandon's parents' farm, where the couple would live for a while. Julia was introduced to all of the animals and chores she'd have to take on.
A friend to the family, Aspen, helped Julia figure out a rhythm when it came to her duties on the farm. Julia was used to city life and this was a bit of a culture shock for her.
At times, Brandon and Julia struggled with Betty and Ron's house rules. Julia disliked the "separate rooms" rule the most. She felt too distant from her soon-to-be husband and often thought about moving back to Russia.
Betty scolded Brandon and Julia after they broke the hot tub rules. The house rules were starting to affect their relationship, but after some back and forth, Betty and Ron allowed the fiances to stay in the same bedroom.
The couple revealed that Julia might be pregnant, which startled Betty and Ron. Later, Julia's test results came back negative and these two continued their wedding planning.
Julia tried on some gorgeous wedding gowns and modeled them for Brandon and Betty.
Brandon didn't seem very interested in wedding planning or Julia's dress, and his level of involvement worried her. Brandon admitted that although things felt rushed, he loved her and wanted to get married. He also admitted that planning the details of a wedding ceremony just wasn't his thing.
Brandon and Julia tied the knot! The couple opted for a super small church ceremony, and Julia's parents were able to virtually attend via video call amid the pandemic. Congratulations, newlyweds!
Brandon and Julia's journey continues on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 6. The newlyweds prepare to celebrate Brandon’s new job offer in Las Vegas. Excited to be away from Brandon's parents for a while (and happy to be able to sleep in the same bed), Julia likes Las Vegas so much, she proposes that she and Brandon live there — a suggestion Brandon doesn’t agree with.
While in Las Vegas, Julia receives a letter from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services asking her to come in for an interview — the last step needed for her Green Card (or so they think).
During the interview for her Green Card, Julia was told to wait a few more weeks for approval. As they waited to hear back, Julia met with a wedding planner in Richmond to discuss her interest in the wedding industry.
Brandon scheduled time for Julia to meet his friend Melanie and her boyfriend T.J. Tensions rose as Julia’s jealous side started to show. After Melanie questioned Julia’s reasons for staying with Brandon, Julia stormed out. Despite her dislike of Melanie, Julia later agreed to give her a second chance.
To their delight, Julia received a card from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services allowing her to work and travel while she waited for her Green Card.
Brandon’s parents want him and Julia to have another wedding or celebration that the whole family can attend. Against Julia and Brandon's wishes, Brandon’s parents surprise them during his father’s 70th birthday party.
Brandon and Julia checked out an apartment. Julia loved it, yet Brandon found it too big and expensive. Later on, Julia had a job interview to be a dance instructor at a gym club. The interview went well, but she was told to work on getting certified first.
The couple signed the lease for their first apartment! Then, they had to tell Brandon's parents. Brandon showed them the new apartment as if they were still apartment hunting. After telling them the lease was already signed, his parents weren’t happy. Although they said they would miss having Brandon and Julia around and would need to find someone to help on the farm in their absence, they helped the couple move into their new place.
We can't wait to see what's next for Brandon and Julia!
After they settled in, they had a few of Brandon's friends over for a housewarming party. Julia told everyone about her plans for the new space, which included a baby crib. Then, the couple got into an argument about if and when they should have kids.
Brandon and Julia appeared on the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Every After Season 6 Tell All. They discussed the highs and lows of their relationship and commented on the other couples' journeys.
Next, the couple appeared on the second season of 90 Day: The Last Resort. They joined fellow 90 Day Fiance couples at an Arizona resort to work repair the cracks in their relationships.
During their first group therapy session, Brandon and Julia revealed that they weren't on the same page about having kids anymore. Brandon was ready, but Julia wasn't. This conflict — along with Julia's homesickness and a dwindling sex life — created a lot of distance for them. They were determined to get the help they needed from the retreat.
During a retreat exercise, Brandon and Julia wrote out something they wanted out of their relationship on a rock and carried the rocks in backpacks while they hiked. If they were able to come to a compromise about what was written on the rock, they were able to leave it behind on the mountain, lightening the loads on their backs.
Brandon chose "Baby" because he wanted to have a child and Julia didn't, despite wanting to have one when they got married. Julia wrote "Parents" because she wanted to bring her mother and father over to America, but Brandon thought her parents' divorce and strained relationship would be too chaotic.
Unfortunately, they couldn't come to a compromise and carried their rocks back with them.
All the couples enjoyed a night out on the town! Julia, a dancer at heart, hopped on the bar and showed off some moves. Brandon wasn't a fan of Julia's outfit nor her bartop dancing.
