High School Sweethearts Made A Pact to Get Married If they Were Both Single At 50 and They Did Just That
Love is patient, love is kind, 37 years later these high school sweethearts tied the knot based on a pact they made.
How many promises from high school have you kept? For Ron Palmer and Kimberly Dean they can say they kept a pretty big one...after dating in high school they made a pact that if neither of them had walked down the aisle by 50, they'd get hitched, and that's exactly what they did. Today reports that Ron says of Kimberly, "I've always loved her."

Kimberly and Ron are both from St. Paul Minnesota and they wed just last week, Kimberly is 51 and Ron is 54 (the two started dating when Ron was a senior and Kimberly was a freshman." Ron told Today "After high school, I wanted to go sow my oats. I thought at that young age, girls were a dime a dozen and I could get along with anybody -- so we broke up. But we broke up on good terms. We remained friends."

Kimberly recalled it being "a complete joke" but the two were always there for one another through hard times. Kimberly is divorced with two kids and Ron is divorced with no kids. The deal they made was something along the lines of once they hit 50 maybe they should try this again. The two never went 6 months without talking.

It may take 37 years to figure it out, but if it's meant to be, it's meant to be!
