The Easter bunny will be hopping into town very soon, and in our house, that means we need to dye and decorate plenty of eggs to celebrate. While we love the traditional way of dyeing eggs with the dye tabs and a cup of vinegar, we decided to change things up this year, and I’m really impressed with the results.
My four-year-old son and I used the Eggmazing Egg Decorator on a dozen eggs and he created beautiful eggs in a matter of seconds. It wasn’t messy, my house didn’t smell like vinegar when we were done, and there wasn’t a lot of waiting around for the eggs to be finished. All in all, it was an egg-tastic experience!
If you’ve been eyeing up the Eggmazing Egg Decorator, read on for my honest review of this fun Easter option.
What Is the Eggmazing Egg Decorator?
The Eggmazing Egg Decorator is a small, battery-operated machine that has a cushioned spot for an egg. The machine quickly spins the egg while you use markers to decorate the egg. Because the egg is spinning, the markers create intricate and colorful designs on the egg's surface. Depending on where you hold the marker and the amount of pressure used, each egg comes out looking unique. The Eggmazing Egg Decorator is really easy to use and it creates beautiful, vibrant patterns.

Can You Reuse the Eggmazing Egg Decorator?
Yes! I love that you can use the Eggmazing Egg Decorator multiple times this year and bring it back out for many Easters ahead. Because so many egg dyeing kits can only be used one time, this reusable one is worth the money. Plus, the machine is small enough to fit into a box of our Easter decor that I’ll store after the holiday.
Who Is the Eggmazing Egg Decorator Best for?
Because the machine is so easy to use, it’s really great for kids of all ages and adults. It does come with bright and bold permanent markers that leave great colors on the eggs. So for little ones, make sure they don’t get the marker on their clothes or on any surfaces.

If you are looking for a way that a group or class could decorate eggs, this machine would be a great option. The eggs can be decorated in a few seconds and the markers dry almost instantly.
If you have kids with egg allergies, grab wooden eggs and decorate those. That way you can save the eggs and reuse them as decorations every Easter.
Can You Eat the Eggs You Decorate with the Eggmazing Egg Decorator?
According to the brand, the markers that come with the machine are non-toxic. However, they are not food safe and the brand does not recommend that you eat the eggs after decorating. You might want to use food-safe makers if you want to eat the eggs after decorating.
