Our favorite Fixer Upper couple makes dreams come true on their hit HGTV show when they, say it with me, “take the worst house in the neighborhood and turn it into [their] client’s dream home.” Now, after posting an Instagram photo of baby Crew in a bassinet he’s outgrown, the Gaines have been poised with an opportunity to play fairy god-couple to an unexpecting fan.
Little Crew is growing fast, Chip noticed while posting an adorable picture of the eight-month-old in his SNOO Smart Sleeper bassinet.
“Uh oh,” Chip captioned the photo. “What happens when they outgrow the #snoo??”
While most fans gushed over sweet Crew, one commenter caught Chip and Joanna’s attention.
"Sell it to me!" fan Kelly Claggett wrote under Chip’s post. "After 12 years my husband and I are FINALLY expecting!!"
“We're so excited for you!” Chip told the mom-to-be before directing his assistant to “get her set up.”
Not only is the act incredibly generous, it’s also a steal for Claggett! The SNOO Smart Sleeper is a high-tech bassinet that is designed to improve a baby’s sleep by simulating the womb. Creators promise the bassinet will both sleep-train and respond to your newborn’s crying.
Is this some sort of magic? Nope! According to Happiest Baby, the bassinet senses when your little one is waking up and will begin gently rocking him or her back to sleep while increasing white noise. If the baby continues to wake or fuss, the SNOO picks up speed and rocks your baby back to sleep without you having to get out of bed.
As any new mom will tell you, sleep is key to survival and a bassinet that helps you get a few more winks each night sounds amazing. However, this high-tech bassinet comes with a hefty price tag of $1,300.
After the Instagram exchange, Claggett excitedly confirmed on Facebook that the SNOO is set up at home and ready for her baby.
“Something absolutely BANANAS happened a few weeks ago,” Claggett said. “I made an offhand comment to Chip Gains (sic) and then the rest was nothing that I ever would have expected. Our baby and family is blessed by this random act of kindness and I’ll never stop trying to pay it forward.”
Sweet dreams, future baby Claggett!
