I finally found a sneaker that does it all without leaving my feet sore, blistered, or swollen. Here’s why the HOKA Bondi 8 sneakers are my go-to pair — and why you’ll love them too!
I live in New York City and unless it’s 100 degrees outside, thunderstorming, or snowing heavily, I’ll walk to get to where I need to be. Honestly, walking is the most reliable form of transportation there is (no delayed trains or out of service buses!) and getting my steps in makes me feel great. So, having a sneaker that can keep up with me is essential. I first discovered HOKA sneakers on social media and after seeing rave review after rave review, I decided to give them a try myself.
I originally bought the HOKA Bondi 8 sneakers for working out and going on runs, but I wear them to do mostly anything now — as long as my outfit permits it! They have gotten me through several 25,000+ step days around the city without feeling any painful consequences during or after. The next morning, I definitely feel it in my legs, but my feet are still golden.
The HOKA Bondi 8 sneakers have the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance, which recognizes products that are deemed beneficial to foot health. This star sneaker features a sort of "crash pad" for your feet, making the heel to forward foot movement more balanced when you walk or run. The thick, superior cushioning is what really steals the show for me and makes this shoe stand out from other sneakers I’ve owned from popular athletic brands. It took a second to get used to the thickness of the cushion, but it's like walking on a cloud.
Did I mention the color selection? This sneaker comes in a dozen fun shades and color combos, from vibrant to neutral. I own the Harbor Mist & Lunar Rock pair — a good choice if you want a lighter colored sneaker, but don’t want to worry about keeping white shoes clean.
